Currently wearing Salt Water sandals in gold. They are true to size (in the ‘big kids’ sizing) and also come in baby/toddler/kid sizing! Gold is my favorite! At some point I also ordered them in red but never wore them so I sold them. I’ve had them for 3 years and they still look pretty new. I’m not sure how inventory is right now, but in prior years, the coveted colors quickly sell out as the weather gets warmer.
I also am a fan of Birkenstocks, specifically the patent Madrid. They are timeless, have arch support, and are dressy enough for casual summer situations in Europe. I liked the idea of the lightweight EVA material ones, but leather is more comfy. (Also sold at Zappos.)
I lived in Havaianas for a few summers but my feet no longer tolerates flip flops. I’m considering a pair of Tevas…
For slightly dressier situations, I like these classic leather sandals from Gap from 2014 (blogged here). But, it’s Gap (i.e. not a shoe store) and it’s no surprise that there is some fraying with the stitching. While I got them at a good price and got extras, it still makes me a little sad when something isn’t durable enough.
