to shop / {deal alert} target beauty 25% off today

The Target beauty department is a whopping 25% off today online and in-store. This includes makeup, skincare, haircare, fragrances, bath and body, deodorant, hand soap, oral care, women’s shave, men’s grooming, and spa & massage. Many items are already discounted (Amazon isn’t always cheapest). Like last year, I’m stocking up on Cerave foaming face wash and the Pixi Glow Tonic. They also have high-end skincare like French Embryolisse and Korean Laneige. Shipping is free!

to pamper / tatcha luminous dewy skin mist, camellia cleansing oil, and more

Tatcha‘s 20% off Friends and Family sale is ending tonight (was extended but now dead). The sale is the same discount as the Sephora VIB sale, but I was waiting for Tatcha’s own sale because (1) I have gift cards and Amex offers (current offer is spend $50+ get $10 credit) to stack, (2) Tatcha naturally carries more on their own site than on Sephora, and (3) Tatcha samples (you can pick up to 3)! Shipping is also free on all orders. What Tatcha will be doing for Cyber Week/Black Friday/Cyber Monday is unknown — last year it coincided with their F&F.

The general consensus is that Tatcha is pricey and has great packaging. Despite all the marketing, it’s not a Japanese skincare line. In fact, it’s not even sold in Japan — Japanese-inspired and developed is more accurate. As I get older, I really gravitate towards the luxury beauty splurge. Not every product is a hero — the ones I got were based on reviews I read and weren’t a blind purchase. I also appreciate that almost all of the products come in (somewhat) wallet friendly, deluxe travel sizes, which makes it feel like less of a splurge and potential sunk investment.

to pamper / burberry festive box back in stock

Update: Back in stock at Sephora.com.

Another beauty deal — this Burberry Festive Box was launched for the holidays. Burberry packaging is gorgeous. It has one full-sized neutral eyeshadow in Pale Barley along with three minis. The eyeshadow alone runs $29 and this box is $35. The set launched on Sephora and soldout after restocking. Now, it’s back in stock at Nordstrom, but I’m sure it won’t be for long!

to pamper / 2016 sephora vib sale

Oh, Sephora. I’m an online shopper and the VIB sales are painful when items go in and out of stock. And I chuckle at people who bought too much and are no longer to use their VIB code. Get smarter, Sephora. I mix high and low. This is what I got (or would’ve got if I wasn’t out):

to pamper / costco beauty deals

Costco has some fantastic beauty deals online. I rarely go in person. Shipping is almost always free. Inventory does fluctuate a bit for the hot brands. I’ve seen Chanel, Skinceuticals CE Ferulic, Deborah Lippmann, and the list goes on. (Reminder: If you have a Chase Freedom credit card, get an extra 5% back through the end of the year.)
