The Target beauty department is a whopping 25% off today online and in-store. This includes makeup, skincare, haircare, fragrances, bath and body, deodorant, hand soap, oral care, women’s shave, men’s grooming, and spa & massage. Many items are already discounted (Amazon isn’t always cheapest). Like last year, I’m stocking up on Cerave foaming face wash and the Pixi Glow Tonic. They also have high-end skincare like French Embryolisse and Korean Laneige. Shipping is free!

Tatcha‘s 20% off Friends and Family sale is ending tonight (was extended but now dead). The sale is the same discount as the Sephora VIB sale, but I was waiting for Tatcha’s own sale because (1) I have gift cards and Amex offers (current offer is spend $50+ get $10 credit) to stack, (2) Tatcha naturally carries more on their own site than on Sephora, and (3) Tatcha samples (you can pick up to 3)! Shipping is also free on all orders. What Tatcha will be doing for Cyber Week/Black Friday/Cyber Monday is unknown — last year it coincided with their F&F.

The general consensus is that Tatcha is pricey and has great packaging. Despite all the marketing, it’s not a Japanese skincare line. In fact, it’s not even sold in Japan — Japanese-inspired and developed is more accurate. As I get older, I really gravitate towards the luxury beauty splurge. Not every product is a hero — the ones I got were based on reviews I read and weren’t a blind purchase. I also appreciate that almost all of the products come in (somewhat) wallet friendly, deluxe travel sizes, which makes it feel like less of a splurge and potential sunk investment.

Update: Back in stock at Sephora.com.

Another beauty deal — this Burberry Festive Box was launched for the holidays. Burberry packaging is gorgeous. It has one full-sized neutral eyeshadow in Pale Barley along with three minis. The eyeshadow alone runs $29 and this box is $35. The set launched on Sephora and soldout after restocking. Now, it’s back in stock at Nordstrom, but I’m sure it won’t be for long!

Costco has some fantastic beauty deals online. I rarely go in person. Shipping is almost always free. Inventory does fluctuate a bit for the hot brands. I’ve seen Chanel, Skinceuticals CE Ferulic, Deborah Lippmann, and the list goes on. (Reminder: If you have a Chase Freedom credit card, get an extra 5% back through the end of the year.)

Prime Day is coming up and Amazon got tons of flack last year for a lackluster inaugural Prime Day. I’m not sure what the final list of promotions will have but it looks like they have started festivities early. Prime members can get $25 off $50 from their Luxury Beauty department with code PRIMEDAY25. The credit applies after your next Amazon Luxury Beauty order and has to be for one of these brands and sold by Amazon.com. My recs? I might finally try the La Roche Posay Anthelios serum. I recently tried the Oribe dry texturizing spray and apres beach wave and shine spray. The jury is still out on the apres beach spray, but I really like the dry texturizing spray and already got it in the Iarger size. I also like the Mio dry brush. Somme Institute Transport pads are great for icky skin (previously mentioned). I’m not sure when this deal expires but I assume it will be over after July 12 (Prime Day).

I got the Tata Harper resurfacing mask and face oil late last year and started following Tata on Instagram. The master classes looked really interesting, so I was ecstatic when I saw that Cap Beauty was hosting a master class in NYC (via Cap Beauty’s mailing list). The natural beauty boutique in the West Village is adorable and everyone I came in contact with was really nice, despite the huge crowd that showed up. (The event was broadcast on Racked, so that’s the effect of social media.) The event kicked off early. Christine introduced the brand first and Tata came in to talk about why she created the products and her experiences. Then, Tata and Christine (and maybe somebody else) took questions and demo’ed the products to smaller groups. The crowd thinned out so I stood in Tata’s line, listened in on some others’ questions, and got to ask her a few.

I haven’t been paying attention — Amazon became a luxury beauty destination overnight and their list of brands is really impressive. For a limited time (I’m not sure when it expires), use code LUX25BACK to get $25 credit for purchases over $50 after your order ships. Offer only applies to items shipped and sold by Amazon.com. I’m quite excited that they have the La Roche Posay Anthelios serum and Oribe hair products. Start here or browse their full list of brands (includes a ton of men’s brands).

The Target beauty department is a whopping 25% off today. Many items are already discounted and have another 10% off code. I’m super excited and stocked up on more Cerave foaming face wash and the highly recommended Pixi Glow Tonic. The tonic was in-store only so I placed an order for pickup. In general, online prices are more competitive and placing an order for in-store pickup is the best of both worlds. One item was only available online and already has a delayed shipping warning!
