This deal is back again through March 20th!

Get $50 off $100 at Neiman Marcus through March 20, 23:59 CT on regular priced items when you use the Visa checkout option. Of course, there is some fine print, including beauty/fragrance items. See the full details here. If you have Shoprunner (free for Amex cardholders), you can sign in and get free two-day shipping. I restocked on Hanky Pankys during the last promotion and was able to use the promotion twice, with the same Visa. I’m not sure if that’s in effect again. They have Yoku Moku cookiesJonathan Adler, Longchamp, Ugg, Hunter… and all of the other usual suspects.

to shop / {deal alert} neiman marcus $50 off $100, ends tuesday

This isn’t the first time for this deal — last time, I fell asleep and the ship sailed. It happens often these days.

Get $50 off $100 at Neiman Marcus through Tuesday, February 17, 23:59 CT on regular priced items when you use the Visa checkout option. Of course, there is some fine print, including beauty/fragrance items. See the full details here. If you have Shoprunner (free for Amex cardholders), you can sign in and get your two-day shipping. I restocked on Hanky Pankys and spent a grand total of $0 as I have a gift card from a recent gift card event. It’s also been reported to work more than once… They have Yoku Moku cookiesJonathan Adler, and Longchamp of course.

to shop / {sale alert} veteran’s day sales

  • Bloomingdales 20% off Friends and Family kicked off. As I mentioned here, if you want the old Planetes (or anything from Longchamp), this is your best bet! For those who are unfamiliar with department store blanket sales, there are a ton of exclusions. Look for the ‘FRIENDS & FAMILY’ under the item name. The sale goes through November 17. Use your Chase Freedom card for another 5% off!
  • For those on the West Elm email list, 20% off any item. Today only. Check your email. I think the code is unique.
  • 40% off sale items at J.Crew. The best part? It’s not final sale (and I don’t expect final sale to return until late December)! I’m checking out this silk dress (that’s a whopping 86% off), this skirt, and this blazer. Havaianas and some RMS that I wrote about previously are available as well.
  • If you’re shopping for your guy, Bonobos is 25% off $175+. Too bad that Amex offer expired.
  • Neiman Marcus (and their contemporary sister, CUSP) has $50 off $200 or $100 off $400 for the next two days. There are a ton of exclusions but Longchamp and Clare Vivier does work! Similar to Bloomies, look for the ‘November Dollar Off Event’ for qualifying items.
  • Brooks Brothers is still having a sale and if you have an Amex, check your offers for a $30/$150 offer.
  • Piperlime has 40% off final sale and 30% off sale through today. I also have some 20% off codes for non-sale merchandise (email me!).
  • And this isn’t a sale but worth mentioning. Fans of the Mansur Gavriel bucket bag, Forever 21 has a convincing knock off. I never got a MG bag because I hate the thought of worn corners (and this should be fixed by their upcoming tumbled leather line. I bet this non-leather version is much more durable!
  • Lucky Magazine’s deal of the day has select Spanx styles for 50% off.

to shop / {deal alert} 40.5% off acrylic desk accessories

Horchow has a really beautiful curation of home goods. While most of their products are out of my price range and reserved for window shopping, they have some more affordable items that are included in their 25-30% sitewide sales… like their acrylic desk accessories. Anthropologie fans may have seen them before. Buuuut, don’t buy it from Horchow, buy it from Neiman Marcus.

Horchow is Neiman Marcus’ furniture brand (just like CUSP and Bergdorf Goodman are also owned by NM). While all these online sites have the same inventory, promotions and cashback/mileage mall-type deals can vary greatly. There is some inventory/promotional overlap between the sites and in this case, by buying from NM, you can get an additional 15% off for an overall 40.5% off discount (if you have a Chase Freedom card). If you do not have a Chase Freedom, keep on reading:

  • 30% off sale – no code, good through Thursday night on NM.
    • If you missed the NM sale, the Horchow sale runs through November 12 early morning.
  • 10% cashback through Chase Ultimate Rewards Mall if you have a Chase Freedom, Ink, or Sapphire Preferred card and click through the mall’s NM link (you do not have to pay with the Chase card).
    • If you do not have Chase, my favorite cashback site, eBates, is giving 8% back if you set up an account and click through their link.
  • 5% cashback if you pay with a Chase Freedom card and enabled the Q4 bonus (Why wouldn’t you? Here’s the other Q4 retailers.);

You can also get free 2-day shipping and returns through ShopRunner. It’s similar to Amazon Prime, except they work with a bunch of retailers (many that I actually shop at!). If you’re an Amex cardholder, sign up for free (link) or get a free trial as an Amazon Prime member (link). Existing ShopRunner members can also share their account privileges with household members (as with Amazon Prime) by sending out an invite from the account details interface.

Using mileage malls and cashback are a second nature to me. I shop mostly online so it adds up to more than a day of “free lunch” or you can look at it as offsetting sales tax.

P.S.

  • If you’re thinking about Christmas presents, some of the items are backordered until January.
  • Prices vary slightly between Anthropologie and Horchow/NM.
  • This “deal” doesn’t work on everything on Horchow and NM. E.g., Bric’s luggage. Bric’s is 30% off on Horchow (including the Bellagio style) but selectively on sale at NM.
  • I’ve been able to ask NM for free shipping (pre-ShopRunner days) if Bergdorf’s had it and NM didn’t, but they wouldn’t let me pricematch between their sites.
